Biffa Award – Main Grant Scheme
Under this scheme, they look to award grants to projects that provide or improve biodiversity, community spaces, cultural facilities, and places for outdoor recreation.
You can apply for between £10,000 and £50,000.
You will need to find a third party contributor(s) to provide 10% of the grant you are applying for.

SUEZ Landfill Communities Fund
SUEZ Communities Trust provides funds to not-for-profit organisations to undertake work that is eligible under the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF). Applications are considered for three areas of work which qualify for funding through the LCF.
These include: Public Amenities (Object D), Historic Buildings, Structures or Sites (Object E) and Biodiversity (Object DA).We support projects that make physical improvements at sites located in any of 80 funding zones around qualifying sites owned by our donor, SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK.

Smaller Projects Fund Awards
- Between £1 and £20,000
- Projects must have an overall cost of no more than £40,000
- Projects must start within 3 months and complete within 12 months of funds being awarded
Primary Fund
- Awards between £1 and £50,000
- Projects must have an overall cost of no more than £250,000
- Projects must start within 6 months and complete within 12 months of funds being awarded
Veolia Environmental Trust
They support community and environmental projects across the UK. These include:
- Community buildings and rooms: e.g. community centres, village halls, community spaces within religious buildings, Scout or Girlguiding buildings
- Outdoor Spaces: e.g. public parks, nature reserves, community gardens, footpaths, bridleways or cycle-paths
- Play and recreation: e.g. play areas, skateparks, Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs), sports grounds, pavilions or changing rooms
The maximum award is £75,000 with a minimum award of £10,000.
They consider capital improvement projects at a single site with a discrete start and end that will need to be completed within 12 months.

WREN – FCC Community Action Fund
The FCC Community Action Fund offers funding of between £2,000 and £50,000 to projects which fall within WREN policy and the Landfill Communities Fund.
WREN will accept applications for the provision, maintenance or improvement of the following types of public amenity:
- Village Halls and Community Centres
- Public Play Areas
- Publicly available Multi use games areas, skate parks and BMX tracks
- Sport and recreation grounds including pavilions and clubhouses with full public access
- Churches – community spaces only
- Nature Reserves
- Public gardens, parks, country parks and woodlands with at least dawn to dusk access
