What’s On: BOSF Events 2026
Throughout the year Birmingham Open Spaces Forum brings people together through events, socials and activities that celebrate Birmingham’s parks and open spaces and the communities who care for them.
From seasonal gatherings and skill-sharing sessions to walks, workshops and our AGM, our events are a chance for Friends groups, volunteers and supporters to connect, share ideas and learn from one another. They are also an opportunity to strengthen our network, support local action and inspire more people to get involved in looking after their local green spaces.
Whether you are part of a Friends group, a volunteer, or simply curious to find out more, we would love for you to join us.
Here’s what’s coming up over the next few months:
April
Earth Day: EcoRecord Workshop & Nature Walk, Wednesday 22nd, 11am-1pm
In celebration of Earth Day, join BOSF, EcoRecord, and the Friends of Handsworth Park to become a “Citizen Scientist.”
Learn how to use the free iNaturalist app to identify local wildlife and help protect our regional biodiversity. This workshop is the perfect warm-up for the upcoming City Nature Challenge. After the session, we will head out for a guided nature walk, followed by a community social and lunch at the Sons of Rest building hosted by the Fieinds of Handsworth Park.
Location: Sons of Rest Building, Handsworth Park, B21 9EU
