Children’s perspectives on quality in local natural outdoor spaces

Natural England has commissioned new research to better understand how children judge the quality of their local natural environments. Working with children and young people as co-researchers, this project has been led by the University of Central Lancashire and Dialogue Matters. The aim was to build understanding of children and young people’s experiences of outdoor spaces, and to inform the development of their Children’s People and Nature Survey.

Find out more about the project in their new report.

The Children’s People and Nature Survey 2022 Infographic

Last month Natural England released their latest Children’s People and Nature Survey report, featuring data collected from children and young people in 2022 during the school holidays and during term-time. To help share the key findings from the report they have also produced a new infographic.
