• Love Where You Live

This group of volunteers are committed to preserving their local open spaces through tireless efforts that include litter picking, combating fly tipping, and maintaining the lush grass, they ensure that this slice of nature remains an inviting retreat for the community. Their stewardship extends to a small conservation area, fostering an environment where wildlife thrives. Beyond the bounds of the meadows, the volunteers also litter-pick areas like Hales Gardens, Thornby Road, Maxted Road, and Hurstway.

Some of the volunteers also host a local walking group that traverse local parks and open spaces, promoting health & wellbeing for the community. Love Where You Live were awarded with a generous grant from the Lottery, courtesy of K R T, a charitable organisation dedicated to empowering young people to reenter the workforce.
