Holders Woods and Brockley Grove are listed as ‘Ancient Replanted Woodland’ and are a national ‘Site of Importance for Nature Conservation’ (SINC). Brockley Grove is part of the River Rea ‘Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation’ (SLINC), an important corridor for wildlife.
Holders Woods Conservation group are a friendly bunch, keen to promote and protect the biodiversity and heritage of the woods and surrounding area. They meet mainly on 1st Sundays of the month, 2-4pm (except Bank Holidays) to carry out activities agreed with BCC Park Rangers, to help manage, maintain and enhance their lovely surroundings.
