Spark Green Park (Friends of)
Founded in November 2023, the Friends of Spark Green Park act as a voice for the park, representing its needs and accessibility of its users.
Spark Green Park is an urban city park situated in the middle of the well-known Balti Triangle of south east, Birmingham.
The park has three children’s play areas, one large hard court area for ball games for both junior football and cricket and two playground sections with swings, climbing frames and slides. The vast area of the park is landscaped with grass, shrubs and recently planted orchard and older common tree varieties bordering the park.
The park gained popularity after being highlighted as the childhood hangout for England cricket team legend Moeen Ali OBE. He was also a pupil at Nelson Mandela Primary School adjacent to Spark Green Park.
The Friends of Spark Green Park activities include:
- Regular litter picks every fortnight
- Conservation, planting and maintenance of trees and plants
