The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery formed in 2004, later incorporating Warstone Lane cemetery in 2009 combining both cemeteries under one umbrella.

The Friends main objectives are the preservation, maintenance, and refurbishment, along with researching, assisting the public with a plot number of their ancestors grave.  The Friends have regular clean up days and work with other agencies.

Funds for grave restoration is achieved via guided tours on the second Sunday of the month, membership, sales of merchandise and donations. Guided tour fees apply but are free for members who also received a periodic newsletter – The Mourning News.
