Our Funding

Our work is made possible by the generosity of supportive partners, grants from charitable trusts and individual donations. Each of these income streams plays a vital role in sustaining our work:

Grants and Project Funding – We access grants from the National Lottery and  charitable foundations. These allow us to deliver targeted projects, support Friends groups, and run vital training and networking events.

Partnerships – We’re proud to collaborate with Birmingham City Council, whose support includes funding towards BOSF’s core costs and services. This partnership not only provides vital financial support but also helps to amplify our impact across the city and influence policy.

Donations – Every individual contribution, no matter the size, helps us support more volunteers and reach more communities across Birmingham. Your generosity allows us to help over 180 local groups keep our parks, nature reserves, allotments and green corridors vibrant, safe, and welcoming.

We’re deeply grateful for this support. It sustains our movement and helps us protect and promote the green heart of Birmingham.

Together, we can make a greener, stronger Birmingham for all.
