Reddings Lane Park (Friends of)
The Friends of Reddings Lane is a Friends Group based in Hall Green North that was founded in August 2021.
Their aim is to:
- Promote the conservation, protection, education and improvement of the physical, natural and social environment of the local area, in Reddings Lane Park.
- Involve and encourage more local residents in community events and various other activities to increase social participation.
- Pursue the improvement of facilities at the park/community centre for the benefit of local residents, recreational users and visitors.
- To aesthetically improve and enhance Reddings Lane Park and immediate surroundings and reduce litter and fly-tipping by adopting deterrence activities.
- Promote activity through sport, various recreational activities, arts & craft in familiar surroundings providing opportunities to meet other people and foster civic pride.
The Friends of Reddings Lane Park activities:
- Regular community work days and litter picks within the park and surrounding vicinity.
- Connecting and building cohesion within the community through running and informing the local community of local activities, recreation and networking events.
- Planting and maintenance of trees and plants.
- Committee meetings to provide a voice for the community on any issues within the park and the immediate vicinity.
