• Cycle South Brum through to ITV's The People's Millions final

Cycle South Brum has reached ITV’s The People’s Millions finals
They have a vision of a cycle hub where people can borrow free bikes to get to work, get active or cycle as a family.
On Tuesday 26th November they will be going head-to-head against another project to win £50,000 to make this happen. However, the voting telephone number will be a secret until the day – lines will be open between 9am and midnight, and everyone can vote up to 10 TIMES!! Calls cost just 11p from a landline.
There show will air between 6pm and 6.30pm on ITV Central, where viewers will hear how their inspiring project will help great numbers of people and have a lasting effect.
Sign up at the website for a free email/text alert with the voting phone number when it’s announced. They will also share the number on their website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
Please help them create a buzz and spread the word far and wide… every vote counts!
So what’s Cycle South Brum all about?
If we win, we’ll be able to offer FREE:
Fleet of bikes for all ages to borrow
    Family and group cycle rides
    Training and confidence sessions
    Basic bike maintenance
We’ll also buy a secure container unit for storage.
    How you can help!
We need you to spread the word in your workplace, school, group, and amongst friends & family.
Encourage them to sign up on our website www.cyclesouthbrum.co.uk for the email/text alert with the voting phone number.
It’s essential we get as many votes as possible on Tuesday 26th November – please help us share the voting telephone number when it’s announced on the day.
Also if you’d like a poster or flyers, simply give us a shout on 0121 411 2157 or [email protected].
You’ll be able to borrow FREE bikes on a daily or longer-term basis:
Help your children get more active (especially important with 1 in 4 local children leaving primary school obese)
Borrow a bike so you can join your children on a family bike ride
Fit exercise into your daily routine, and improve your health and wellbeing
Trial cycling to work before committing to buying your own bike
Struggling to afford bus fares or petrol costs? Can’t afford to get to a new job before being paid at the end of the month? You’ll have the freedom to travel cheaply without being limited to bus routes and timetables
Do your part for the environment and enjoy the improved cycle paths that are coming as part of Birmingham Cycle Revolution
Free training if you’ve never ridden a bike, haven’t cycled in a while or just need a confidence boost
Maybe you already have your own bike gathering dust in the shed? We can check your bike over and teach you how to carry out simple repairs yourself
The People’s Millions is a partnership between Big Lottery Fund and ITV, where the public help decide which local community projects get up to £50,000 of lottery funding. The voting telephone number will also be published in that day’s Daily Mirror and on the People’s Millions website.
Our show will be broadcast on ITV Central between 6pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday 26th November, with voting lines open between 9am and midnight on that day. Calls cost 11p from a standard lineline, and more from mobiles, and you may vote up to 10 times from one phone number.
The brains behind the Cycle South Brum project are Northfield Town Centre Partnership, with the help of Northfield Ecocentre and Northfield Business Improvement District (BID).
Please share this email to spread the word, and encourage people to vote on the day!
