Bupa UK Foundation to Re-open for Applications
The Bupa UK Foundation will be opening its funding programme to applications again at the end of June.
The Foundation’s funding programmes are developed around clearly defined themes and focus on important factors that underpin good health, including mental health, ageing well, the prevention of long-term conditions, and behaviour change to improve health and wellbeing. It also has a strong interest in addressing health conditions that can affect everyone, such as heart health, cancer, Type 2 diabetes and dementia. The first theme was Mid-Life Mental Health and the theme for the next round of funding will be announced shortly.
In previous funding rounds the Foundation made around 20 grants split across the following levels:
- Larger grants – over £50,000 for projects that have a broad reach and the potential to deliver a sustained impact
- Medium grants – up to £50,000 for distinct one-off projects, which might include pilots of new models of care or initiatives designed to benefit clearly defined groups
- Small grants – up to £10,000 for smaller projects delivered at local level to directly benefit a specific group.
