• Tow Path Clean Up at Kings Norton 27th and 28th March

    Kings Norton Towpath and Wast Hill Tunnel
    Come and join the Friends of Kings Norton Park and the Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society in their tow path clean up, on the pathways along the canal leading to the Wast Hill Tunnel.
    Dates in March 2015

    • Friday 13th. Saturday 14th.
    • Friday 27th. Saturday 28th.

    The start time will be 9.30am and finish around 3.30pm.
    Collection point will be ‘The Donkey Track’ where it meets Primrose Hill. The post code is B38 9BE
    The purpose of these dates is to collect waste paper, cans, bottles and general litter. There will be support by staff from CRT on the Friday who will supply the refuse bags, litter pickers and bag hoops. They will also remove the bags of waste off site with their own vehicles.
    Clothing – This type of work can get rather messy at times so please wear suitable clothing. The CRT would prefer safety boots or at least strong shoes or boots, (no trainer or sandals please). Tough clothes that will stand wear and tear and heavy duty work gloves.
