The Birmingham and Black Country Nature Improvement Area aims to achieve long-term environmental gains for the wildlife and people of Birmingham & the Black Country by delivering targeted biodiversity projects at a landscape scale.
The Nature Improvement Area is a title (or even a government designation) and is headed up by the Birmingham & Black Country Wildlife Trust. They head up a partnership of over 60 organisations who are all determined to work together and create a high quality network of spaces that will provide much-needed habitat for declining species and much-needed opportunities for people to engage with wildlife near to where they live in this urban area.
The Nature Improvement Area would not be a success without the help of thousands of volunteers helping them to achieve such fantastic results all over Birmingham and the Black Country. Click here to find out more!
If you want to help the NIA partnership make more improvements to the green spaces where you live, get in touch with them, either by calling 0121 454 1199 or by emailing [email protected]
Details of all their volunteer days with the Wildlife Trust can be found by clicking here.
