    23rd February 11.00am-12.30pm – Build a Natural Den
    Every child (and adult!) needs a special space of their own where they can let their imagination run wild. When you become a den builder, the most ordinary of spaces can become a magical, secret world, where you can play, read, or just chill out! Make sure its waterproof though, there may be a surprise rain shower coming… Children must bring an adult
    23rd February 13.00pm-15.00pm – Scavenger Hunt
    Become a nature detective as you hunt high and low for natural treasures hidden all around our wonderful nature reserve. The large car park will be open for people attending the event to use but will be locked at 15:00pm. Children must bring an adult
    2nd, 9th,16th, 23rd March, 10.00am-15.00pm – John Muir Discover Award
    This 4 day course will give you an opportunity to achieve a John Muir Award by Discovering a wild place, Explore its wildness, Conserve it and Share your experiences. The course will take place over 4 weeks and in order to achieve the award you must be able to attend all 4 days. Activities will include a range of practical conservation work, species ID to sensory activities and more! Booking Essential
    3rd March, 10.00am-12.00pm – Wild Stories in the Wild Wild Woods
    For international Book Day we’re going into the woods to read the some of our favourite wild childhood stories but all the characters have escaped and are hiding in the woodland! Can you help us track them down so we can finish the story? Along the way we’ll collect some materials to make something special to take home!
    20th March, 10.00am-12.00pm – Wild Words, Fairy Fables & Special Stories
    World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling with people all around the world gathering to hear and share different stories. So if you love a good story why not join us indulging in some at our beautiful nature reserve led by a very special guest! There will be fairy tales and fables to Norse myths and Celtic folktales!
    21st April 10.00am-12.00pm – Woodland Wildlife Walk
    Put a spring in your step on our guided walk at Moseley Bog & Joy’s Wood. Discover a carpet of bluebells and listen to birdsong as we encounter signs of spring at the reserve. Don’t forget to bring a pair of binoculars! Booking Essential
    4th May 19.00pm-21.00pm – Evening Chorus
    Are you are a night owl rather than a lark? Listening to the evening birdsong at Moseley Bog & Joy’s Wood will be a perfect way to end your day as nocturnal wildlife awakes… Don’t forget to bring your binoculars! Booking Essential
    6th May 04.00am-07.00am – Dawn Chorus
    Rise with the lark to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day where it all began at Moseley Bog & Joy’s Wood. Enjoy nature’s symphony with singing robins, blackbirds, song thrushes and many more! Don’t forget to bring your binoculars! Booking Essential

    Regular Volunteer Days
    Help the Friends of Moseley Bog and the Wildlife Trust team conserve and enhance the reserve. Alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the third Sunday of each month.
