• Parliamentary Public Parks Inquiry

    The much-awaited report has been published by the Select Committee.  Statutory service has not been recommended, however, partnership working with Health and Wellbeing Boards to create joint Parks and Green Spaces Strategies has been.

    A highlight from the publications is the results of the survey that accompanied the Inquiry. Some quick statistics are:

    • 75% of those surveyed have a very positive impression of our parks and green spaces
    • Nearly 90% of those surveyed believed their local park has a very positive effect on their health and well-being
