• Outdoor Community Cooking Workshop

Outdoor Community Cooking Workshop on Thursday 24th April at Winterbourne House and Gardens and Martineau Gardens, Birmingham 10am-4pm.
Does your organisation cook outdoors at events and make food available for sale to the public? If so you will need to make sure you meet the regulations and legal requirements so you can safely and confidently supply cooked food and produce to the public.
This one day workshop will cover:

    • Guidelines and legal requirements for outdoor cooking and for selling produce
    • Meeting legal requirement- discussion with a Environmental Health officer
    • Juicing and cider making
    • Key considerations when cooking with children and vulnerable adults
    • Making lunch as a collective

The learning will be put into practice as we prepare and cook your own locally sourced lunch (using cob oven, rocket stove, food smoker etc)
Resources will include: Web links and hand outs, including risk assessments.
The event is run in partnership with FCFCG and Growing Birmingham and booking is essential. We will be meeting in the morning at Winterbourne and then moviing to Martineau at lunch. Mini-buses will take you from one site to the other and are included with your delegate fee.
