Outdoor Community Cooking at Winterbourne House and Gardens and Martineau Gardens
On Thursday 24th April at Winterbourne House and Gardens and Martineau Gardens, Birmingham
This one day workshop will cover:
- Guidelines and legal requirements for outdoor cooking and for selling produce
- Key considerations when cooking with children and vulnerable adults
- Meeting legal requirement- discussion with a Environmental Health officer
- Making lunch as a collective
The learning will be put into practice as we prepare and cook together a locally sourced lunch (using cob oven, rocket stove, food smoker etc).
Resources will include: Weblinks and hand outs, including risk assessments.
The event is run by FCFCG in partnership with Growing Birmingham.
We will be meeting in the morning at Winterbourne and then moviing to Martineau at lunch. Mini-buses will take you from one site to the other and are included with your delegate fee.
