Natural Englands North Mercia Area Innovation Funding 2015 to 16

This is early notice that Natural England’s North Mercia Area Team has an Innovation Fund of £50,000 to act as seed corn, to encourage innovative ideas and projects, which will have strong environmental outcomes and benefits for the natural environment in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and the Black Country.
This money can be used in a multitude of ways and we’re ready to hear your novel and exciting project ideas.
The fund will operate in similar way to last year and is open to project ideas from both internal staff and external partners.
It will be a competitive process with the funding decision being made by a panel comprising of Natural England staff and External Stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria:

• Applications should be for between £1,000 and £10,000 (including VAT)
• Projects must be completed and claimed in the 2015/16 financial year
• No project commitment or payment can be made beyond 20/03/16
• The fund is not to be used for the continuation of existing projects – but could fund a new phase of a project
• The fund will not be offered if there are other sources available
• External applications will be limited to 3 per organisation
• Your organisation must be properly constituted

We are currently finalising the application form and detailed guidance for this year’s Innovation Fund application round.
So, please start thinking creatively, develop your project ideas and please do share this with other eligible organisations who may be interested.
