The main aim of the Kyrwicks Lane Open Spaces volunteer group is to improve their local green spaces, through a number of activities such as:

• The removal of rubbish
• Weeding
• Cutting back shrubbery
• Re-planting
• Recycling leaf litter to make leafmould to feed back into flower beds
• Reporting of fly-tipping and any other relevant issues to the council

   

The group recently discussed the possibility of also planting fruit trees and some vegetables that could be planted within the local community. They would also like to improve wildlife conservation and raise more awareness about this within the local community.
