Billesley Common (Friends of)
Billesley Common is a recreational area of public open space in South Birmingham, England. It is situated along the Yardley Wood Road, between the suburbs of Moseley and Yardley Wood. Billesley Common was first mentioned in 1774 as being ‘common wasteland’.
Friends of Billesley Common (previously know as Valley Riverside Project) currently are actively recruiting more members, so please contact them if you are interested in volunteering. The group have arranged for many improvements including litter bins and noticeboards to be installed. Volunteer work is carried out regularly including maintaining pathways, litter-picking and training days.
