• Cycle Ride Leader Training with BikeRight

    The next Ride Leader Training course is at half term on Wednesday 29th October (9.30-4pm) at the BikeRight offices in Birmingham city centre
    Aims – To equip participants with the skills to lead and supervise cycle rides, on and off road, and to encourage cycling as a sustainable healthy activity in local communities.
    Objectives – By the end of the course participants will be able to organise and lead cycle rides.

    • Role of a ride leader
    • Benefits and barriers of cycling
    • Route planning
    • Risk Assessments
    • Pre ride information
    • Bicycle check and fitting helmets
    • Leader positioning during ride
    • Riding techniques
    • Basic bike maintenance
    • Dealing with accidents/incidents

    The course will be classroom based and practical.
    Duration – 1 day – 9:30am – 4:30pm
