Chelsea Gold for Birmingham

Congratulations to the Birmingham City Council Parks Team who received another coveted Chelsea Gold Medal at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Enlightenment is a floral display celebrating the opening of the Library of Birmingham in September 2013. The display focuses on the Birmingham authors JRR Tolkien who wrote The Lord of the Rings, Annie Murray whose book Birmingham Blitz was based on life in Birmingham during World War II, and Birmingham Poet Benjamin Zephaniah’s poem Nature Trail.
