Cannon Hill Park Friends Celebrate Parks 140th Anniversary

Cannon Hill Park Friends celebrated the park’s 140th Anniversary with a Summer Holiday Festival with Beach, Rainforest Animals in Hands, Storytelling and Arts workshops. The event was enjoyed by 15,000 visitors over the 3 weeks.
The park was gifted by Louisa Ryland, and designed by John Gibson – botanist and People’s Park movement architect from Birkenhead Park (1840) and Battersea Park (1863).
