Birmingham Summer Solstice Events
Birmingham Wellbeing Service in partnership with Birminham Parks and Active Parks are putting on a series of fun, free events from midnight to midnight, over the Summer Solstice on Sunday 21st June for the whole family to join in with.
The timetable for the full 24 hours is:
- 12am – Sheldon Country Park Bike Ride, Ragley Drive, B26 3TU
- 3.30am – Cannon Hill Park Dawn Chorus/Bat Walk, Holders Lane Pavillion @ 3am
- 4.00am – Cannon Hill Park Race to the Sunrise Notice Board, Holders Lane Playing Field (across from Bridge, 2nd Ave)
- 5.30am – Lickey Hills Sunsrise Tai Chi, Monument Road Car Park, follow Park Lives Flags
- 8.30am – Handsworth Park Beginners Running, at the Boathouse in the park
- 9.30am – Cofton Park Couch to 5km, Car Park off Low Hill Lane
- 10.00am – Handsworth Park 5km to 10km, Boathouse
- 10.00am – Lickey Hills Tai Chi, Monument Road Car Park, follow Park Lives Flags
- 10.30am – Cotteridge Park Green Fit, Tennis Courts
- 10.30am – Lickey Hills Lickey Explorers, Visitor Centre
- 10.45am – Cofton Park 5km – 10km, Car Park off Low Hill Lane
- 11.00am – Summerfield Park Community Fit / C25K, Children’s Play area City Road
- 11.45am – Gilberstone Rec. Multi Sport Tennis Courts
- 1.30pm – Summerfield Park Multi Sport Tennis Courts, Muga Area
- 3 – 5pm – Summerfield Park Picnic/family Games Tennis Courts, Muga Area
- 6—9pm – Cotteridge Park Boules & Picnic Tennis Courts
- 7 – 9pm – Handsworth Park Picnic & Fun activities, Handsworth Wellbeing Centre
- 9.30pm – Handsworth Park Evening Glow Run–5km, Handsworth Wellbeing Centre
- 12am – Nechells Wellbeing Badminton, Reception Centre
