Barrow Cadbury Trust – Small Change Initiative

Through our Small Change initiative, we want to support mutual aid at a local level in Birmingham and the Black Country. By “mutual aid”, we mean activities where local people both give and receive help from each other We will provide one-off grants of up to £3,000 that will either help mutual aid initiatives to start, or that will expand existing activities.
Small Change projects must be:
• mutual– those involved in the project must both give and receive support
• member-led – members of the group must lead the project, we won’t consider services that are provided by a paid worker
• sustainable – projects will need to show how they will continue after our funding ends without the need for further grants from us or another funder
• local – Small Change is intended help people in local neighbourhoods improve life for themselves and others
