Apple Wassail at Cotteridge Park
The Apple Wassail is an ancient tradition that marks the beginning of the orchard year. The traditions talk about scaring away bad spirits by making loud noises and encouraging the good by leaving cider soaked bread in the trees. Click if you want to know more about the history of wassailing.
To ensure a good harvest for the Cotteridge Park Orchard in 2015 come along on Saturday 17th January at 3pm to the orchard to help with planting new trees, some apple games, hot soup & mulled apple juice.
Wrap up warm & wear waterproof shoes, bring a torch and things to make a noise with!
