Important Update: Volunteer Activities Continue as Normal with Secured Insurance

We would like to address recent press reports that have suggested Birmingham parks and open spaces volunteers have been told to stand down due to insurance issues. We can assure you that this information is inaccurate!

Our team has been working diligently with Birmingham City Council to secure the necessary insurance coverage for our volunteers. We can confirm that the insurance is now in place, and all volunteer activities can continue as planned without disruption.

The challenges reported were related to the insurance brokers, not the Council. These issues have been resolved, and we have ensured that there is no impact on our volunteers’ activities. All member groups were updated on the situation and the resolution last night.
