Tree Planting at Perry Hall Park 21st March
Come and join The Friends of Perry Hall Park and Birmingham Tree for Life for their second tree planting event to continue the creation of ‘Ray’s Wood’, a living memorial to Cllr Ray Hassall, former Lord Mayor, Trustee of the Birmingham Civic Society, and co-founder of BTFL.
The event will take place on the morning of Wednesday 21st March, at 10.30am at Perry Hall Playing Fields, Perry Barr. We will be planting a further 500 sapling trees in the same area in which we planted the large trees in November.
Access to Perry Hall Playing Fields is from Perry Avenue (approximate postcode B42 2NF), off the A34 Walsall Road.
As you enter the park, you will see the contractors’ and Friends’ hut on the right; the small parking area in front of this is likely to be full, so please could you to carry on along the track to the right, to the larger car park further in to the park.
BTFL Committee members will be identifiable by their green jackets.
Please remember to wear warm or waterproof outdoor clothing according to the prevailing weather conditions on the day, and stout boots or wellingtons as it might be wet underfoot.
