Proceeds of Crime Funds to the Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit

The Licensing and Public Protection Committee agreed to provide  (POCA)  (NDSU) for voluntary organisations and community groups to apply for.
Up until 31/3/18 a citywide total of £10,000 is available i.e. up to £1000 per District area (current 4 wards) with a maximum allocation of £500 for any one applicant.
Submission of ideas are by way of an application form and the general criteria for making applications for these funds will reflect those of the previous Local Innovation Fund i.e. “using the proceeds of crime to do things differently in neighbourhoods to make better places to live “
Applications need to submitted to [email protected] by Friday, February 2nd; 2018.
I’m aware that this seems quite a tight deadline but the application form is very short and the funding best suits the support for small one off activities e.g. spring clean ups, neighbourhood events, litter picks etc.
All applications will be considered by the Birmingham Trading Standards Community Fund Decision Panel made up of:-

• Councillor Dring – Chair of Licensing and Public Protection Committee
• Karen Cheney – Head of Service – Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit
• Sajeela Naseer – Head of Trading Standards, Community Safety and Markets

Decisions will be week beginning 5/2/18
