Solihull MBC ERDF Project Manager Landscape Architect Post
Band E/F: £27,668 – £41,025 p.a.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed Project Manager Landscape Architect to deliver a new European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) project, ‘Solihull Habitat and Nature Improvements Project’.
Solihull’s successful Habitat & Nature Improvements Project was made under the ERDF Priority Axis 6d, Preserving and Protecting the Environment and will result in attaining better conservation status for 121 hectares of habitat. The programme of woodland, grassland, wetland and water quality improvements will be delivered across publically accessible green space within Solihull. The funding will be used to undertake 28 individual habitat improvement schemes that collectively will increase and strengthen the capacity of the natural environment to deliver ecosystem services across the region.
You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of project management, monitoring and the delivery of landscape projects of varying size and complexity, within agreed time scales, budget parameters and quality objectives.
We are looking for someone who has excellent IT skills, is able to work accurately under pressure and able to use their initiative. Ideally, you will have had experience of project management using external funds (e.g. ERDF / ESIF), using appropriate project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, budgets and expenditure to ensure the requirements of funding agencies and project objectives and outputs are satisfactorily met and evidenced.
You will have excellent resource management, procurement knowledge and contract management skills, including the effective monitoring, reporting and the administration of projects, budgets and targets. Together with the ability to co-ordinate and facilitate the work of officers, partners and key stakeholders as necessary to deliver project proposals in line with agreed project plans.
The role will be employed by Solihull MBC and based within the Landscape Architecture, Ecology and Urban Design team at the Council House in Solihull.
The post is a fixed term contract – ending on 31 March 2020.
