Vacancies for New Chair of Trustees and Trustee Opportunities at Wildlife Trust
CHAIR OF TRUSTEES
There is now an exciting opportunity for the right person to join The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country board of trustees as Chair of Trustees.
Our current Chair, Peter Shirley, will be stepping down at our AGM in January. Peter has been involved with the Trust since it was founded in the 1980’s and will be greatly missed. He says about the role of Chair: “This Trust leads nature conservation in Birmingham and the Black Country and it is a pleasure and a privilege to be the Chair. Astute and enthusiastic leadership is needed more than ever to ensure that the Trust extends its reach in a world increasingly inimical to wildlife.”
In this post, the individual will have a chance to make a real difference to the natural environment, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. You will work with trustees and me as CEO to lead the Trust in delivery of our new five year ambitious strategy which sets out our plans for nature’s recovery as a Living Landscape.
