Capability Brown at Packington Park on Sunday 18 September. 2-6pm
Packington was one of the early masterpieces of Capability Brown, born 300 years ago this year, and the only park in Warwickshire for which one of his plans survives.
The landscape will be open by kind permission of Lord and Lady Aylesford on Sunday 18th September from 2.00pm to 6.00pm, with optional guided walks by Warwickshire Gardens Trust. Admission £5
An organ recital will be held in St James’ church, Great Packington, immediately following, when Peter Gregory GRSM, ARCM, Hon RSCM, organist of St. Alphege parish church, Solihull, will play works that Brown might have known on the organ built to the specification of his contemporary, Handel. Tickets for the recital will be of very limited availability, so early booking is recommended, price £5
