Bag of Help Funding available

The Bags of Help grant scheme is offering from £8,000 to £12,000 for local green spaces. The scheme is administered by Groundwork and funded by Tesco customers from the proceeds of the 5p charge for plastic carrier bags following the government carrier bag levy.
Bags of Help grants to improve local green spaces are available to community groups across the country and support projects that provide community benefit and do not charge for access. Successful projects will go forward to a public vote in Tesco stores which will decide whether they receive a grant of £8,000, £10,000 or £12,000.
Applications need to be submitted by 3rd June and grants will be awarded to successful groups around November 2016.
