Friends of Walkers Heath Park
Walkers Heath Park is in south Birmingham. Covering 51 acres, its vast, green area borders Druids Heath, Kings Norton and Wythall. Among the wildlife here, you’ll find woodpeckers, hummingbirds, foxes, bats and swallow hawks. For sports and leisure, the park has courts for basketball, netball and tennis, as well as two sets of football goals, a concrete table-tennis table and a community orchard.
The Friends of Walkers Heath Park work for the improvement of amenities in the park, including: play areas, planted areas, rubbish removal, wildlife conservation, personal security, health and safety, footpaths, sports and recreation facilities and organise local community events.
