Just 4 miles from the city centre, lying between the Pershore Road and Moor Green Lane, this site is regarded as Birmingham’s hidden gem. Alongside the playing fields lies a rich and diverse natural habitat including the River Rea, hedgerows, scrubland (in Brockley Grove) and Holders Woods, which is ancient woodland and designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) . The area is home to a range of wildlife including kingfishers, herons, woodpeckers and badgers so offers people living in an urban setting the opportunity to see plants and animals in their natural habitat.
