Have a Field day at Bournville Park

09/07/2017
9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Bournville Park

Friends of Bournville Park and 38 Degrees want you to “Have a Field Day” on Sunday July 9 from 2.30pm

Enjoy a summer afternoon with friends and neighbours

Bring a picnic, have some fun

On July 8/9th all across the country, people will be sharing tasty snacks and drinks to highlight how precious our parks are – and convince local councillors to protect them for good.

Please join us in Bournville Park and help us plan how we are going to protect it and enjoy it over the next year.

We’ll also be looking for more local residents willing to play an active role in Friends of Bournville Park.  Could you be one of them?

Let us know if you are coming via bournvilleparkfriends@yahoo.com

Move More Eat Well are very excited to announce their first big community event:

The Big Healthy Lunch will take place at Cofton Park on Sunday 9th July, 11am-3pm

Bring some food to share, a blanket and invite friends and neighbours to join. On this special “get together” with a healthy and active twist, expect a big area full of sporty fun from Sport Birmingham, wildlife activities from RSPB, an eco-craft area provided by Birmingham Playcare Network, and more!

Remember to bring your bikes for a big clean by Cycle South Brum and to visit Dr Bike for a quick check up…

Don’t panic if you forget to bring food to share, healthy snacks will be available to purchase from The Real Junk Food Project. You will also be able to cycle for a smoothie on the popular smoothie bike. And why not explore taste in some interactive sessions by Northfield Ecocentre?

Check their Facebook and Twitter pages to keep updated with all the goodies coming to Cofton Park on the 9th of July or contact Anne at Northfield Ecocentre 0121 448 0119 for more info.
